This vocabulary supplements Schema.org where diplomatic concepts need their own precision. It does not redefine generic Schema.org dates.
Appointment
One evidenced office or rank phase. A person can have multiple distinct appointments.
person
The diplomat who held or was designated for an appointment.
country
The catalogue country, distinct from the historically represented government.
representedGovernment
The supported represented entity at that time; not automatically the current government.
status
Recorded current, former, designate, or unverified status. Designation does not establish service.
period
Display wording from the appointment record, not a substitute for structured dates.
dateCoverage
Whether evidence documents a service interval, a start only, or an isolated attestation.
start
Original date value, precision, and ordinal uncertainty bounds. Missing dates stay null.
end
Original date value, precision, and ordinal uncertainty bounds. An unknown departure is not continuous service.
verifiedOn
The existing appointment verification date; export generation never refreshes it.
