Scope and Evidence
The State Department’s August 1988 directory identifies 644 Chain Bridge Road as the ambassador’s residence. Fairfax’s current location record links it to tax address 640 and the same Saudi-owned parcel.
A 2024 profile places the current ambassador’s official entertaining at her family’s McLean home. Continued use of this identified property is an inference from that reporting, the historical residence address and current ownership; a new 2026 official street-address statement was not located.
County building data record a 1978 main house, remodeling in 1982 and an addition in 1995. They do not identify an original architect or a total room count.
The recorded 6.102 acres define this residence estate. The neighboring mansion at 650 Chain Bridge Road is also Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs property, on separate parcel 0312 01 0037. Its current diplomatic function is unconfirmed, and it is excluded from this residence’s model and totals.
