Francisco Tacón
Francisco Tacón’s American mission began before the 1833 entry that appears in the U.S. protocol list. Spain’s diplomatic repertory gives 1827–1835, and an archived dispatch sent from Philadelphia in September 1829 independently places him in the country. He corresponded with Foreign Minister Manuel González Salmón. 1, 2
