Aster Mamo Ana

Aster Mamo worked in education before becoming speaker of the Oromia regional council. She later served as youth and sports minister, government whip, and a minister responsible for governance and reform. ¹

She became Ethiopia’s ambassador to Canada in 2018. The U.S. diplomatic precedence list later records her as chargé d’affaires in Washington from 31 July 2024. Her substantive diplomatic rank was minister. ^{1, 2}
