Alberto Espinosa
Alberto Espinosa Bravo served in Cuban diplomacy before his brief period in charge of the Washington embassy. He served in the Cuban delegation to the 1945 Inter-American Conference on Problems of War and Peace in Mexico City, alongside Guillermo Belt, Ernesto Dihigo, and Luis Machado. 1
In April 1952, Espinosa was promoted in Washington from counselor to the diplomatic rank of minister. The Cuban government explained the change by the importance of the embassy and the rank required of its chargé d’affaires. 2
Espinosa subsequently became ambassador to Mexico. He presented credentials on August 20, 1954, and remained accredited in September 1956. 3
