His handwritten accounts of journeys to Vienna, Germany, Moscow, and London in 1881–1887 were later edited by Turgay Anar. They record court protocol and diplomatic questions encountered during those missions.","He was serving in Bucharest when selected for Washington in August 1908, during the reorganization of the foreign service after the constitutional revolution. He represented the empire in Washington in 1909, at the transition from a legation to an embassy. His career should not be confused with that of Hüseyin Kâzım Kadri, the lexicographer and provincial governor.","Transferred to Rome in 1910, Kâzım received Ottoman crown prince Yusuf İzzeddin at Palazzo Gamberini during the prince’s July 1911 visit.
