On September 29, 2014, she delivered a note to Secretary of State John Kerry protesting the proposed contempt finding against Argentina in the litigation over payments to bondholders. The government argued that such a finding would infringe Argentine sovereignty; Judge Thomas Griesa subsequently issued the contempt ruling.","After the embassy, Nahón founded American University's Model G20 initiative and taught courses on G20 negotiations and sovereign debt restructuring. In February 2020 she joined the World Bank board as alternate executive director for a constituency of six South American countries.
