As honorary chief executive of the Mahvash and Jahangir Siddiqui Foundation, he also worked in education, healthcare, social enterprise, and humanitarian relief.","Siddiqui became a special assistant to Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in 2017 and took up the Washington embassy in May 2018. His public diplomacy included a November discussion at Boston University on relations with the United States, the Afghan peace process, the China–Pakistan Economic Corridor, and Pakistan’s water crisis. His appointment ended amid the incoming government’s replacement of several politically appointed envoys.","In June 2019, Prime Minister Imran Khan appointed Siddiqui honorary ambassador at large for foreign investment.
